DTCoop (Digital Tribes Multipurpose Cooperative Society) is a platform that seeks to leverage the cooperative model towards creating a transparent, open, and scalable community of young entrepreneurs, freelancers, start-ups, small business owners seeking sustainable business and financial growth. Mission: To enable members to achieve financial freedom, utilizing the opportunities of saving, access to loans, and investment, through committed leadership with integrity and accountability while leveraging processes on technology and remaining socially responsible.

A Cooperative For the Young and Free

We observed that starting up and sustaining a business in Nigeria, especially, for young Freelancers, Startups, and SMEs, often requires the sourcing of additional funds. We also observed that many individuals are handicapped in acquiring assets, such as land, building, cars, etc., because, sellers of these assets always demand full payment from them in one fell swoop, a demand they are always unable to meet.

Approaching banks for loans by these Freelancers, Startups, SMEs, and individuals for bail-out loans is also, usually, like a camel passing through the eye of the needle, as, more often than not, their loan applications are declined by banks.

In a bid to assist in imbibing a culture of saving towards a target, from which they can invest to earn and also access loans to meet commitments, we decided to form this Cooperative Society that will cater to these needs.
